In case you're semi-new to the game, all search engines use some sort of algorithm to determine the relevance and importance of a web page to help determine how high (if at all) that page will get ranked in search engine results. We thought we'd pass a long a recent general posting from Search Engine Watch and and an older article from WebWorkShop detailing early formulas Google used to help determine PageRank (which weigh heavily on search engine results and rankings).
